There Is Ice In The Bin But It Will Not Come Out Through The Door
So the icemaker is working; the bin is full, but the bin will not dispense. There are several causes for this problem. The most common is simply that a clump of ice is caught in the teeth of the dispenser. In this case, you will hear the grinder motor turning but no ice coming out.

Pull the bin, save some ice in a bowl, clean out the bin with hot water, replace the reserved ice and try it . Sound like a recipe! See a Full Bin. When the bin is removed from the frig, you should be able to rotate the auger by hand and dispense ice.
If the motor is still turning, but no ice is dispensed then there is damage to the linkage between the drive motor and the bin or in the bin itself. Bypass the door switch and watch the motor and bin function. The drive yoke may be sheared. Sample Yoke.
In the newer KitchenAid models, with the motor in the door, like shown above, the gears strip within the little transmission hidden in the liner of the door. See Sample. What if the motor will not turn. The model with the motor in back of the freezer are prone to icing up and locking. This may be because of an icemaker leak. Regardless, you can remove the motor, thaw it out with hot water and then dry it off with a heat gun. See Sample.
With some force, once you are sure it thawed out, you can rotate the output shaft to confirm that it is free to turn. An alternate solution is to replace the motor, but make sure there will be no further leakage. Sometimes they freeze up on their own with no real explanation. Successful example.
