If a piece comes loose from the grinding plate or the plate is wobbling on the center shaft, the disposer must be replaced. A disposer is not a repairable device. Sometimes the grinding arms break off or become jammed and fail to flip around and chop up the food. A tooth frozen on the plate will result in very poor grinding. Same solution.
