Washer Won't Tumble

Before tumbling begins the washer computer must confirm that the door is locked and illuminate the lock light.

Lock Light Must Come On

This is a safety test stopping anyone from opening the washer during rotation of the tub and tearing off their arm. Getting to this point requires power, a good lock, a good touch pad interface and a good computer. Of course we have not confirmed all computer functions but we do have a head start.

Usually once the washer is locked the basket will begin to slowly rotate as it fills with water and begins the cycle. If this is not the case enter the diagnostic mode and run thru all the tests which will include rotating the basket at different speeds. The diagnostic mode will inform you of any component errors such as a Motor Control Board.

Lack of tumble problems are not common on front loaders.
